2016 Award Winners

Jupiters Casino on the Gold Coast was the venue for the inaugural Australian Speedway Awards, on 10 September 2016. Over 250 nominations were received across all categories, which were open to every competitor, volunteer and administrator in the country. A great turnout of speedway stakeholders were on hand to see the following winners announced.

Modified Competitor of the Year - Kevin Britten, QLD

Overall Sportsperson of the Year - Jamie Veal, VIC

Track Awards
Track of the Year - Valvoline Raceway, NSW
Most Improved Track of the Year - Hi-Tec Oils Toowoomba Speedway, QLD

Promotional Awards
Speedway Innovation of the Year - Ultimate Sprintcar Championship
Promotional Item of the Year - Ultimate Sprintcar Championship

Individual Awards
Official/Volunteer of the Year - Ian Jones
Photographer of the Year - Corey Gibson
